in pontianak have some the place, for example is Alun Alun Kapuas.Alun alun kapuas is the garden city that now has a renovation. now alun alun kapuas good for enjoy with your friend. in there have some food,sell a lot of food, and sell many accessorizes with you. and in there, have Water fountains are located in the town square Pontianak (Kapuas river side)inaugurated by the Mayor of Pontianak on 31 December 2010. This fountain is unique because of the fountain to connect directly with the Kapuas River.

Unforgettable Night at Pontianak

I want to share about night of my weekend that I spent with my work partner who came from Thailand. He came for the first time to Indonesia, especially to the Pontianak. We were just down the street with motorcycles. Not to be confused for the primary purpose for visiting the Pontianak, because we would not complete in Pontianak until we've been coming to Park Square Kapuas. Although malls, cafes, and various other entertainment centers are many in the Pontianak, this place still looks cool. Recreation Park is located at Jalan Rahadi Usman, in front of the Mayor's Office of Pontianak. Taman Alun Kapuas is a beautiful and comfortable place to relax while enjoying views of the Kapuas River with its activities. The park is open every day starting from noon till late at night. Not using ticket, its free. At night, while standing on the edge of the fence in park, we enjoy the beauty of the Kapuas River. We also can enjoy the exoticism of this region while sitting on the stairs located on the banks of the river (waterfront) by dipping a foot into the Kapuas River. On weekends or at other holiday times, there are many visitors here, especially in Saturday night. Some peoples sitting togther to talk and laugh, they enjoy the charm of this area, see the lights coming from people's homes across the river that emit bright light or the lights from the boat. Many people take some pictures. The atmosphere more life and be romantic night when see the spotlight from The Fery ship ( crossing transportation) .

Then, we enjoyed the other side of the park by renting a boat to surround the river. In park area we try some stunt game that provides a packet of cigarettes or a bottle of syrup as a gift. On certain days are held some tour agenda, such as kite festivals, painting exhibitions, exhibition of ornamental plants, stage entertainment, and cheap market. After two hours at Taman Alun Kapuas we plan to fill the stomach with a culinary tour in Jalan Gajah Mada Pontianak, it’s a favorite culinary in the evening with an affordable price. Every night in Gajah Mada street, especially Saturday night, crowded with visitors who hang out in coffee shops whose numbers dozens.

Chinatown area (Jalan Gajah Mada Pontianak) filled with warkop (coffee shop) business, which stand in a shop building (ruko) yard when the shop do not open at night. The famouse special menu is a fried banana with nipah banana mixed with flour spread with butter sugar apple (srikaya jam), which is now known up to Jakarta. In addition we also can enjoy a relaxing evening with food and drink typical of chinesse food, my favorite fodd is fish porridge.

The next trip is to eat durian at the central market area, its really amazing and very enjoyable. Crowded with many visitors want to relax with family or friends to eat durian. My Thailand friend feeling very impressed with tonight, Pontianak so beautiful at night. There are many other wonderful evening we can enjoy in Pontianak. One night later, I will visit Pondok Serasan located on the banks of the Kapuas river or watch a carbide cannon at Idul Fitri night. Thank you and don’t forget to wait the next story of my trip.

Zul Mz Painting Gallery

Zulkifli or commonly known as zul ms (35) are native painter of western Borneo. Every corner of west kalimantan been reflected in ms painting. Zul also seemed to not give up to pour the imagination and observations about everything in kalbar, the beautifully, plants, animals and people's lives. Everything are on a canvas of his work. Watercolor, oil, crayon, ink becomes a best friends of every step of his adventure. His obsession wanted to summarize it all into his memories of his life on earth equator. Zul ms also built a gallery on the Jalan Sultan Hamid II komplek permata asri block A no 01 ( in front of  STIEP campus). Zul Ms give any chance to share your knowledge with the younger generation who loves painting.

"Tiger cascade" natural waterfall in Sanggau Kapuas

When we visited one of the city, often questions that arise in our minds is to look for what is a good recreation place in the city. Once the case when we visited the town of Sanggau, a district capital of West Kalimantan. There are many places of natural recreation available there, of which we can see the beauty of the Kapuas river in the afternoon, which is one of the longest river in Indonesia. There is also a royal Malay palace, Sanggau Bukit Permai and several other natural attractions such as waterfalls , Aji Pancur cascade and cascade Laverna.

Well, this time I will share information to the reader about one of the resorts are quite famous waterfalls in Sanggau, his name is Tiger cascade. At the time of holidays, is quite crowded attractions visited by local tourists who come to enjoy the fresh air while taking a bath and swim in a rushing river, and look quite beautiful natural scenery around the waterfall.

The Equator Monument

Pontianak has many places that must be known and must be visited by tourism if they are going to Pontianak city. The Equator Monument is an about five kilometers north of Pontianak city center, that divides the earth into two parts. This place is signed by a monument or a monument that was discovered in 1928 by a Dutch Astronomical Expedition. In 1938 or exactly ten years later, "Equator Monument" was renovated and expanded again by an Indonesian architect named Sylaban.

Betang house is one of the traditional house of Dayak tribe, the tribe that dominates in Kalimantan (West) / Borneo.
The Long House or Rumah Betang is a replica from the traditional Dayak longhouses in the interior of Borneo. This house was built with a high pile of more than two meters, so people can freely walk under and inside the house.

The Long House is located in Sutoyo street, side by side with the Regional Library of West Kalimantan province, about 100 meters from the Provincial Museum. At this location is usually have 'Indigenous Dayak rice harvest feast' which display the Dayak ethnic arts and traditions of various sub-ethnic Dayaks in West Kalimantan. Although only an imitation, but this betang house, quite active in accommodating youth activities and art galleries Dayak. Usually here also conducting a ceremony held device Dayak once a year, in addition to devices Dayak, here too, where the princes  and princess selection event Dayak.

I want to tell about many places that interest in Pontianak.

          
Pontianak has many typical interesting places. But, this time I want to tell you one of the typical places on Pontianak which is “Kadriah Palace”. Kadriah Palace is the imperial legacy of Pontianak, which was founded by the Sultan of Pontianak sixth, Sultan Sharif Mohamad Alkadrie on December 1771 (14 Rajab 1185 H). Royal palace stands on an area of ​​9800 square meters of land. The royal palace is located In Bugis Village, Pontianak East.

UKM Sarang Semut Untan Recruitment Agenda based on Art of Nature.

UKM Seni Sarang Semut Untan is a colleger activity unit which is engaged in the arts. In here you can learn, practice, and open relationships, especially for those who are interested in art. In here we learn to develop the talent we have. Sarang Semut opening new members only once a year. To join this group, we must choose any division what we want, for example, music (percussion and band), dance (traditional dance), drama/acting , and cinematography. Before becoming a member, we must take the audition or recruitment. Recruitment is carried on 1-3 April 2011 in Singkawang Kura-kura beach to test the mental, loyalty and the talent of the participants. The recruitment called Semut Adventures. The Adventures agenda was very exciting and fun. All participants who successfully pass the audition were 18 people from all divisions. The Adventures was held on the Kura-kura beach because the natural state of the Kura-kura beach is so natural and beautiful, not like another favourite beach in Singkawang that has been polluted by garbage and tourist visit. Activity lasted for 3 days and two nights. On the first night, the agenda was adventure at graves (very creepy like Halloween) and  the second night, The art performanced from the participants and performanced by performers/comittee. In the midninght, continued friendly night with dance together among camp fire/ bonfire, the party was so fun until late night. The best Adventures was explored jungle and mountains, We’re seen The Borneo forest landscape was very beautiful.
Congratulations to all participants who was succesfull pass the audition and becoming members generation 3 of Sarang Semut UNTAN. Hope this activity can be a valuable experience and as the beginning of created new talent and new creation of Indonesian artistic.
